Due to non-working order, this lovely timepiece was left in storage, and became a home for the creepy crawlies!

Luckily eXibit came into its life

Item:

Original early Ansonia U.S.A. Mantel Clock.

Condition:

Non-working order and cosmetically very poor with webs state.

Requirements: 

Full Restoration to casing and mechanics 

Item underwent:

  • A Complete dismantlement
  • Existing parts repaired/restored
  • Wood casing sanded, painted, detailed & glossed
  • Clock face frame polished & hands restored
  • Hammer & Coil Hand Painted
  • Mechanisms refurbished

History:

Ansonia Clocks were made by a clock manufacturing business which started in Ansonia, Connecticut, in 1851 and which moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 1878.
